Kerala mural paintings are frescos depicting Hindu mythology in Kerala. Ancient temples and palaces in Kerala, display an abounding tradition of mural paintings mostly dating back between the 9th to 12th centuries.
They say the devil is in the details, and that’s all that matters as far as the Kerala mural is concerned.
They’re wonderfully intricate with every stoke and line coming together to form a divine artwork.
Learn the basics of tracing the design, working with fine details, and making your own Kerala mural art. Also get to know the meaning and mythology behind the art form, from our resident expert. In this 2-day masterclass, you’ll paint in painstaking detail your very own masterpiece. You can then take home a beautiful piece of art with a massive smile on your face.

Who will be teaching?
Sushila Prakash is an India-based artist and art educator who pursued her lifelong passion for Art after a distinguished career as a Lawyer for over 25 years. While media of expertise includes a wide array of artistic styles; she has created a unique niche for herself in the world of Kerala Mural painting, a traditional Indian art style originating from the Southern state of Kerala.
