Product Description

Date: May 25, Sunday (10:00 am to 4:00 pm)

Suitable for ages 15 to adult

We will attempt a simple motif inspired painting, that will be something new that we have not done before. It will be revealed during the class, images are for reference only and not what we will paint.

Kerala mural paintings are frescos depicting Hindu mythology in Kerala. Ancient temples and palaces in Kerala, display an abounding tradition of mural paintings mostly dating back between the 9th to 12th centuries.

They say the devil is in the details, and that’s all that matters as far as the Kerala mural is concerned.

They’re wonderfully intricate with every stoke and line coming together to form a divine artwork.

Learn the basics of working with fine details, how to dilute and layer acrylic paints to create those beautiful effects and making your own Kerala mural art. You can then take home a beautiful piece of art with a massive smile on your face.

It’s totally beginner-friendly, so no prior skill or experience is required to sign up. We’ll provide all the supplies needed, so I hope you join us soon.

Who will be teaching?

Sushila Prakash is an India-based artist and art educator who pursued her lifelong passion for Art after a distinguished career as a Lawyer for over 25 years. While media of expertise includes a wide array of artistic styles; she has created a unique niche for herself in the world of Kerala Mural painting, a traditional Indian art style originating from the Southern state of Kerala.

So just bring yourself and get ready to have fun! Suitable for ages 16 to adults.
