Join us to learn the beauty of Mirror art, a traditional art form of Kutch, Gujarat. The intricate pattern and aesthetic perfection of this mirror work demand attention. Explore this beautiful art and take home a functional mirror artwork frame. This is very different from lippan art, so don't confuse the two. Here the aesthetic mirror placements are key.


About Mirror Art:

In this workshop, the participants will learn the art of pasting mirrors from start to finish. You will be guided step-by-step and will take home a beautiful mirror work in the end. You'll even understand how to go home and make your own patterns. This workshop will help you visualize structures and execute them. In the end we will use a special paste to fill the background and give it a professional finish.


All Materials will be provided during the workshop, so don't worry!

(We will have a short lunch break, please bring your own as It is not included in the fee)

Who is teaching?

Sushila Prakash is an India-based artist and art educator who pursued her lifelong passion for Art after a distinguished career as a Lawyer for over 25 years. While media of expertise includes a wide array of artistic styles; she has created a unique niche for herself in the world of Kerala Mural painting, a traditional Indian art style originating from the Southern state of Kerala.

  1. Where is this happening? - this is an offline in-person workshop happening at HTC, Royapettah Chennai. We currently don’t have any online versions
  2. Are materials provided? - Yes, all supplies required for the workshop will be provided. Do just bring yourself.
  3. Who can participate? Any beginners from the age of 12 to adults can join.
  4. Do I get to take home what I make? Yea, absolutely.
  5. If I miss the class can I use it for something else? NO. We sell limited tickets. So please understand that we cannot refund, cancel, or transfer your ticket to another workshop. You can at best ask a friend to attend in your place. We cannot and will not offer any solutions for any reason you do not come for the workshop. You will forfeit your amount if you’re a no-show.
